ASCENSION
When Essence fills, pick one of 3 choices: a stat upgrade, a Fusion (merges 2 base elements into a stronger spell), or a Convergence (merges 2 T1 spells into a T2). Fusing replaces both source spells — plan ahead. Between waves you can still move and collect orbs to level up early.

COMPANIONS
·WhisperAttacker — fires bolts at enemies. Scales damage and fire rate each level. Lv5: 2 bolts · Lv8+: bolts pierce · Lv9: 3 bolts.
·LumisHealer — pulses vitality restore. Lv6+: every 5th pulse is a burst heal (6% max HP). Gains HP and pulse rate each level.
·AethosBuffer — boosts spell damage during its active phase. Glows gold while buffing. Buff strength and duration increase each level.
·ShadeDebuffer — radial wave that slows and damages all nearby enemies. Wave range and slow increase each level.
Companions orbit you and level from your hits and kills. Each kill earns Soul Shards — spend them on permanent upgrades (UPGRADE button on a companion card or WITCH tab). A glowing ✦ means you can afford an upgrade. More companions unlock at higher lifetime kill milestones.
COMBO
Kill enemies in quick succession to build a Combo. At 3+ kills the combo multiplier activates — ×1.5 at 3, ×2 at 5, ×3 at 10 (marked ★). The counter resets after 3 seconds without a kill or when you die. A combo does not protect you from the stillness penalty.

WraithFast, fragile, low reward
ShadeBalanced — medium HP and speed
SpecterZigzag runner — small and unpredictable
RevenantHeavy brute — high HP, slow, most XP
The HollowBoss (every 5th wave) — 3 phases. Kill to restore full vitality and earn an Ascension.
When a boss spawns the game pauses and its lore is revealed — press any key or tap to continue. Your run auto-saves each wave. Close and reopen → press RESUME RUN. Wave 31+: Hardcore Mode — enemies scale indefinitely.
TIPS
· Standing still for 5 s triggers a warning then drains 5% max Vitality/s — the warning always breaks through combo messages so you see it.
· Spells are cast from just in front of your witch — position yourself to align the arc.
· Fusing replaces both source spells — plan your path before committing.
· Between waves: move freely and collect orbs to level up before the next wave.
· Boss waves drop 10 XP orbs and restore full HP — high-value fights.
· Void Fracture gives 25% crit/stack (up to ×12) — crits multiply damage and flash white.
· Death Burst chains in dense packs — enemies near a kill take 25% of its max HP.
· Stackable upgrades show their count (e.g. 2/5) in the pause menu.
